Arbour Day with Schools

Bedson Timbers

Bedson believes to return to nature what we take out. For this reason Bedson Timbers not only owns big forests in South America that are cultivated to deliver trees for generations over the next 300 years, but they also donate trees to schools in South Africa during Arbor Week. This initiative concentrates on the significance of trees in nature, to teach scholars the importance of looking after nature and ensuring the continuation of natural resources, clean air, improved water conditions and the responsibility of taking care of a tree over the growth period.

Bedson donates trees to class groups to plant and look after them. Your school can contact the marketing department at Bedson Timbers and request a donation of suitable trees for your school for Abour Week. In return, Bedson request photographs and feedback of the planting ceremonies, a plan of action to look after the trees and a collective story from the school that indicates the role they see that trees play in our lives today.

Learnerships / Scholarships

Bedson Timbers has recognised the shortage of people with specialised skills in the Timber industry. To contribute to the solution, we provide financial assistance and more specifically the allocation of bursaries to deserving persons who are eager to continue their education in areas of the timber industry. Bedson Timbers also provides young students the opportunity to work at our production and operational warehouses across the country to expose more young professionals to the choice of involvement in the Timber Industry and motivates the choice to develop skills in this industry.
